Languages

Proper makes it easy to communicate with your customers in their preferred language. By setting a customer’s language, you can send emails that feel personalised and in the language they understand best.

Customer language

You can choose a preferred language for each customer. If a localised template is available in that language, Proper will automatically use it for all future communications. If not, the system will always default to English as the fallback language.

How to set a customer’s language

Open the customer page

Search for and select the customer you want to update.

Edit details

Click “Edit” and choose the customer’s preferred language from the dropdown.

Save

Save changes. Future communications will now use this language if there's an email template available.

Supported languages

You can communicate with your customers in any language by creating email templates in the languages you need. To fully support a language, make sure to also create a reminder flow in that language.

It's important you create an email template for every language you want to support.

Currently, invoice and credit note PDFs are available in English and Danish.

Remember to provide templates for both invoices and credit notes in each language you want to support. See also: Email templates.
